Course for 2024

Things are looking a little different this year’s 46th for the Kalamazoo Klassic! Needless to say, it’s Orange Cone Season in Michigan and our beloved community tradition is one of many who are effected. We ask for your patience, understanding and grace this year as we manage these details. Below is a map of the planned route for 2024. We’re excited to partner with the Vine Neighborhood and thank them for welcoming us in our 46th year of the Kalamazoo Klassic! Please reach out if you have any questions.

Suggested driving routes to get to the area due to construction:
From North, South, and Northeast follow detours to Oakland
From the West take Howard
From the East/Southeast take Burdick to Maple, right on Park, Left on Howard

PACKET PICK-UP

Maple Street Magnet School

  • Early Packet Pickup – Friday, June 15th  4:00 pm to 7:00 pm @ the Maple Street Magnet School parking lot.
  • Day of Packet Pickup – Saturday, June 16th beginning at 6:00 am @ Bottom of the Hill at the Finish Line
  • 10K Start Time – 7:30 am
  • 5K Start Time – 9:00 amĀ  (All 5K participants must begin/start by 9:10 am)
  • Parking available at the Kalamazoo Free Methodist Church, Girl Scouts of America, Azon and KPS Admin building.

Traditional Course

The Kalamazoo Klassic 10k Run and the 5k Run & Walk all start at the top of Maple St Hill in Kalamazoo and finish at the bottom on the Maple Street Magnet School Athletic Field. The 10k course consists of two laps of the 5k course and includes the famous Maple Hill at the midpoint of the race.  The 10k course bypasses Bronson Circle. Both the 5k and 10k courses are USATF certified. Hydration stations will be located throughout the course and at the finish line.
